TideWay is the long-term brain injury and supported living program of the Transitional Learning Center in Galveston. It exists to meet the ever-growing long-term needs of survivors of acquired or traumatic brain injury who are unable to return to a completely independent life and require physical and/or supported living services. TideWay’s goal is to reduce medical complications and increase the functional skills of its residents through lifelong education and continued rehabilitation.

TLC recognized years ago a growing need for long term care for survivors of brain injury. As a result Tideway was born in 1998 and now resides in a beautiful 32 bed facility situated in the heart of Galveston. This location meets Tideway’s mission of providing a true "community integrated" long-term rehabilitation program. TideWay offers its residents a unique living experience unequaled in long term supported living for the brain injured.
